When you are sitting on the couch or in a chair (maybe the floor, if you feel comfortable that way) and your watching a movie or tv show with a baby in it, do you ever stop to think: "Where did that baby come from?" And I'm not talking about the way 5 year old children ask their parents about the facts of life. What I'm trying to say is, how did that baby get the part? Was there a guy who knew a guy? Were auditions held? Where is that baby now? I ask myself the latter especially when it is a movie filmed in the 80's.
The role Baby Oscar from Ghostbusters II were played by twins Henry and William Deutschendorf. It is pretty hard to find out much about them. I think they might be German though, and this triggers the next question: Are babies from foreign countries cheaper than American babies when it comes down to filming a movie? I have no idea, but one thing is for sure: Henry and William are adults now, and I'm pretty sure people don't go up to them and say "Hey, you look familiar. Were you guys in Ghostbusters II?" Maybe they open it up in conversations with people they are trying to impress. I know I would if I was a baby playing another baby in a movie with a baby.
