In Utah, when high school students ask people to dances, they don't ask face to face. They leave a present on their porch step usually with a pun (i.e. WOOD you go with a guy as HOT as me? with a fire burning in a bowl or something). And the same thing occurs when you answer someone. I made this just as a joke, but I have found it most helpful for asking/answering. I got the idea from the guard dog update on the tf2 blog.
